On October 18, 2023 a soft opening of the Museum was held with the invitation list targeting principals and directors of the public and private schools in and around Taos County. It will now be up to the schools to arrange visits for their students in the Springtime when field trips and other activities are planned. Tours of the Museum will be scheduled by appointment.
A day is still to be chosen to open the museum to the public. We have been receiving emails through wheatonmuseum@gmail.com from the public. When the day for public viewing is announced, those writing in will be notified.
